I have respect for "the man".....respect is not the issue here. "Quality" is the issue here. I study the work of people like Earl...and have done it for years. Studying the work of folks like Earl has allowed me to move beyond basic glamour photography. All I'm saying is that I would expect someone with Earls skills and years of experience to be shooting a better product than what you showcased here.

So he paved the way for folks like me to make a living doing what we love to do. Does that mean I can't be critical of this work? Does that mean that I have to lie and say it fucking blows me away when actually....it does nothing for me? Or can I just be honest and say that I'm a bit disappointed in the quality of the work considering it was shot by an industry giant like Earl?

So...once again - this has nothing to do with respect. This has to do with quality. The model is beautiful - yes, but the set reminds me of content that I saw in the 80's/90's. The lighting is about as basic as it gets and the skin tone and post production is god-awful. I've had guys with only a few years of experience attend my workshops and they could shoot better than this.

I hate being critical of another photographers work and I usually don't critique the work of others unless I'm asked. But when I saw these pictures from an industry giant like Earl, I had to speak up. I just can't believe that Earl shot these pictures. If he did actually shoot these, his quality has gone down over the years and that's a shame
