I think in all honesty that political discourse is good, its proof that the system works.
shouting louder so that people cant hear the other guy means that you are unsure of your position, therefor you dont want the other position to be heard. The guy guy trying to squelch the free speech of the other guy cant make a good enough case to persuade the people he is of the correct view. Listen to Sean Hannity and you hear this being done daily.
The intelligent among us see this for what it is, simply a diversionary tactic used by one side or the other to prevent the other guy from making a point because that guy doing the disrupting isnt confident enough that his point is superior.
Sadly in these days of combative talk radio it has all devolved to Jerry Springer-esque tactics. Nobody thinks anymore, they simply react.
Someone please point me Galt's Gulch would ya?
