*If* I were going to vote republican the idea that her unwed daughter is pregnant would have no negative bearing on my vote.
If anything, I think it adds some reality and character to the situation and her experience. It certainly makes her more human and in touch with what regular people, both republicans and democrats alike, experience despite best parenting efforts.
