let me see if i can find a link to the show that discovery channel did on the info i just posted.
the whole bottom half of Louisiana has formed from erosion. Years and years of rushing Mississippi rapids bringing the peninsula on down. I wouldnt expect it to be the most stable compared to other normal coast lines.
