One of the biggest crimes is that you even mentioned the mayor.
He had no resources to respond; but the state and feds fed you this crap and you
believe it.

The police force of New Orleans didn't want to die anymore than you do and more than
half the police fled the city.

The reason he's still mayor is because he was the only one screamming for help.

That was a multi-state disaster and you blame the smallest leader you can because
he has the least power to fight back.

The mayor does not command the national guard, the governor does.

At most the mayor has 5 air craft at his command and that would be all small helicopters
with no passenger space to speak of.

Please remember that it was not the huricane that hit New Orleans that caused the
disaster. Katrina missed N.O. and hit in Mississippi and the Mississippi river overflowed
and made it's way to N.O. Mississippi was in disaster too but the news didn't focus
there because the number of people affected was more in N.O.

So it required a multi-state response, the activation of the national guard of several
states and the active push from the president to get things moving.

None of that happened.

Blaming the mayor of N.O. is like shooting a man in the foot and then accusing him of unlawful bleeding.
