I don't even know which part of Sortie's bourbon-tainted crap to try to quote, but I think I figured out part of the problem: his definition of "music" is whatever people watch on MTV; he has no concept of the awesome, talented artists who are already making music on shoestring budgets, touring in shitty places, and not getting huge corporate funding or any exposure outside of word of mouth and webcasts because everyone's been brainwashed into thinking MTV and Idol define "talent".
The people trying to fuck webcasters aren't trying to HELP real musicians get rewarded financially, they're trying to FUCK them and everybody who wants to listen to real music by limiting our choices to the few people they want to promote.
