You are making gross generalizations about MOST people in Europe... or you choose to associate with people of the same mindset so it reinforces your own viewpoint...

Typically I have been labeled as a "snob" my whole life and not that of a "democrat or liberal". So I guess my mindset has been set during my adult life. I do, admittedly, mingle with mostly people with the same mindset, however, some of my best friends are avid Republicans and we have many heated discussions on politics all the time. The best ones are while sharing a bottle of Cabernet or a 40. Whichever one we prefer at the time.

feedback loops. I could reverse your statement and say, "Most people I speak to in Europe agree with the viewpoints I hold"... We probably frequent different countries and associate with different people. Swings and Round-abouts my friend and generalizations are just that... generalizations.
