That's not entirely true... Most hosting companies are in "carrier neutral" datacenters. I copied some of the data for my site from: http://www.switchanddata.com/Locatio...Locations/3901

The data center's specifics are the only details that would accurately describe so many of the environmentals pertinent to a hosting operation. By definition, a reseller would be someone who doesn't have a direct relationship with either the facility or the source of their bandwidth... ie - someone who is subleasing space and not buying bandwidth from the source.
