I will give ya some real advice that no processor is going to hand over.
Other than 1 cascaded credit card processor, extra processing doesn't make you more money. It moves your money around, that's it. So once you have a few processors going and the new guy comes along, you simple ask: Please provide proof that you increased the sales/rebills of others and not simply moved 5-15% of the base to the processor, making the processor free money and not making me a damn thing extra.
What having extra processors does do is counter balance off days, sometimes. And depending on the processor it may help with the early morning hours.
Your own merchant account does not mean more sales. It does not mean more net income. The majority of programs do not or can not, lower the scrub factors on the join form, so they are as strict as ccbill and epoch. For several reasons, the main being the cb's on your own merchant account are a pain in the ass to deal with.
