Dicking around with payouts
I notice some program owners talking about how it is okay to mess around with payouts by doing things such as tripling the minimum payout and switching to monthly or longer. I find it to be funny that you think your affiliates will not get upset wih this. I can tell you first hand that a lot of people are already catching on and are avoiding sponsors due to things such as this and hassles over getting paid.
Say what you will but when an affiliate signs up with your program when you are handling payments they are putting just as much trust in you as you are putting in them. You may say there are plenty of affiliates, but don't forget that there are also just as many sponsors as well. Many of which use third party affiliate solutions for payment and pay weekly with only a two week hold.
I realize why certain measures might be necessary for new affiliates, but trying to place such things on affiliates who have been in the business for a decade or more is just ridiculous. We're in this together but let's not try to take advantage of one another too much here, no?
