U.S. dollars, 5 dollars, ect.. last less than 20 months in circulation. They introduce new coin lines all the time, last big run was one for every state. Which is a ton of unique coins.
It would cost them no more than it already does to reprint the money and cycle it in to the system. If they did a trade in for coins, they would make a profit on the extra metals they would collect that current coins don't actually have.
You guys should try reading something other than GFY sometimes.
