Yesterday I and the wife started for today's BBQ. First things first so the spices needed to be prepped.
Toast up some whole spice.
Add some other spices to container.
Toss toasted whole spice into grinder.
All ground up.
Add to other spices.
Rub complete.
Yeah I do not buy any rubs. Possible to spot many but not all of the herbs and spices used.
Next I needed a batch of mop. I forgot to snap some pictures while I was prepping my vinegar based red sauce (shit happens).
Red Sauce added with fruit juice.
Shake well and mop is ready.
Proceed to pull out some baby back pork ribs, meat side down.
Remove that membrane from the back of the ribs, I hate it and it prevents rub from getting to that side.
Spread on the rub curved side up.
Flip them and spread some more on.
Really massage it into the meat, should be nice and thick.
Nice coating all over the ribs.
Wrap in plastic wrap and set in the refrigerator to soak in the flavor overnight.
