funny, i opened a ticket about that this week too

the response was yes, they are going to update it.
my advice? don't hold your breath. you can search gfy all the way back to about a year ago when they are talking about great things its going to do with the new release and that release never happened........ sadly. i loved the script.
go check out wp-o-matic, not nearly as slick but it works and its free. at least if they stop updating that one your ass won't be sore since you didn't pay for it
