The problem with truly unique content is very few people are willing to try and promote it even though it is usually the most profitable since it's not saturated and the consumers that look for the unique content are loyal as hell.

Dammit! you beat me to it lol, but yeah what Heron said, and I'll go another step further, 90% of our content is created in house (by me
) and I extend the offer to our affils that if they need something special to promote us all they need to do is give me the specs and I will create it for them.
IE if there is a "niche" we don't currently create content for and you have traffic for it, let me know and I'll create some sets for you to use to promote us.
When it comes down to "Unique" hands down the 3D Toon niche has it bar none, the ONLY real limits to creating this style content is pretty much moral issues and your own imagination.... if you can think it up it can be made!
