To go with original poster, yes taxes had to be paid on the amount. One company (lovesexycash.com) paid a lump sum whom also invoiced me as an advertising expense.
Clarification to another poster - Someone else (you can dig up thread) decided to hold a sig auction for my benefit. People here donated their sigs for a period of time and lovesexycash.com purchased them all in one lump sum. Though I have also gone over the details at least 5 times on here since then and was one of the main reasons I even tried to back out during the original auction. Quick answer will be no the chair has not been purchased yet due to 3 factors. The waiting list is huge, I would need to go through one additional surgery before I could use it which my doctor wishes me to hold off on for now, and three being I did not expect to end up with bladder cancer in December which is the reasoning behind number 2. Now the money has been sat aside and lovesexycash really does not care what I do with it, yet I will use it as intended. By the way they will be in Atlanta and I suggest you do look them up.
