On 3 December 1992, an engineer called Neil Papworth sent the worlds first text message "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to colleagues at Vodafone.
Even though it was carrying just the two simple words, Papworth was unaware that his actions would change peoples lives forever in the way they communicate and open the door to the multi-billion dollar industry of Short Message Service (SMS) allowing people sending short messages to and from mobile phones.
Estimates of how many sms messages are now sent worldwide on a daily basis runs into trillions,in fact so many that it is impossible to put a figure on the actual amount.
Neil will be attending Qwebec Expo as a special guest of
Global-Acces and looks forward to discussing how the adult industry can increase its revenues and benefit from using the latest phone and sms technology in todays fast changing world.
