Pros:
1./ It's nice view & breeze, also if you have a boat, jet skis and stuff like that you have them ready to go. (no trailering boat ramps etc etc)
2./ You won't get trashy neighbors.
3./ You will have an easier time selling it than non waterfront.
4./ Holds value in a slump and increases in value higher and faster than non waterfront.
Cons:
1./ Costs more. ie: Prop tax, ins, plus extra flood ins. etc etc....
2./ More bugs and critters, coons, etc etc...
3./ Salt
4./ Stronger wind from hurricanes,
5./ More danger from flood surge.
