I totally understand where you're comming from.
I personally couldn't give 2 shits about swimming, and for the matter american football or baseball... I'm a fan of mixed martial arts, passionate fan...
But right now what is happening isn't about about a single sport, it's about an athlete breaking records of the biggest sporting event in the world... an event that has been held for a very long time, and in wich every country participates in.
It's not anything compared to baseball or football... it's universal. Worldwide.
