I don't understand why the pill for men wasn't developed first. The current male pills in development aren't even hormonal, they simply inhibit a specific protein that makes sperm swim. You'd take it every day and there's no cycle. A very simple Q&A on the instruction sheet for the medication would suffice to ensure compliance:
Q. What happens if I skip a day?
A. Congratulations!
And yea, it wouldn't fuck up women in the way this article suggests (although you'd have to add that to the long, long list of the woman's pill's side effects).
