I personally think your idea of asking to see the Room Card would be a good idea.. I rented Jetskis with friend MArk Prince on the beach this week and and the guy was asking for Room keys as proof that the room you want to charge something on is really yours...
Hopefully you'll get this thing resolved, OF course the guy's name and piture if you have it should be posted too... There is no need for douche like that in our commubity
