i think they took 5 people to design the ideas behind the airport (security, check in, etc). each person had their own specific part. while designing the airports, NONE of the 5 people were allowed to communicate with each other until after the airports were built... just my
although LAX is not that bad. airlines are split up between separate terminals or 2 share 1, so you dont have less people and a little less confusion goign on
