Lets up this a bit. I just reread the thread from 4 years ago. I got really really angry with the way he almost destroyed my then fragile business.

You come across as an honest guy. Maybe you have developed some fatherly feelings for him. I dont know. I did not know that Chris was not an adult and that does change things a bit. People can change and yes....people should get a second chance.
It has been 4 years ago and I made a countrymove and I changed banks since then.
How about you ask Chris first if he made "an error" back then and did receive my 1500$ (not 2000$) back then and lied about it and kept it. If he is all grown up now and he is a changed person I will accept his apology and you can send me back the money. I will drop it after that accepting he has changed.
If he denies and I go all the way to prove that he did con me I think you should do more then repay me. I think that would mean he did not change and I think you should fire him then.
