In most cases, the only way to tell is by the name of the CC holder that's joined. Even then you can't claim that it's solo women that are joining -- you've got couples and the ever-elusive bf/husband/roommate/son who uses their gf/wife/roommate/mom's CC to sign up....

Sure, I realize most sites won't have totally reliable break-downs. But I'd still be very interested in educated guesses
For example, I suspect that the CC holder names *is* a decent rough-and-ready indicator of female membership, as the female CC names who are actually male members should be more than balanced by the male CC names who are actually women. If anything the number of female CC names is probably less than the actual number of women viewing the site because a fair chunk of those male names will be couples.
