I know a guy into that. He seemed like this normal guy, until one day he started talking about his furry costume, the fuzzy fake fur he bought and what it was going to look like custom made. So it came up casually that people are into fucking in those things, and he was like "hell yeah."
then it came up how while in a costume, you can't always tell the sex of the other person, and he was like "who cares."
the conversation sort of ended there, with some laughs to cover the awkwardness.
I told him the costume sounded cool! haha
