I do agree with you that it doesn't make a lot of sense, but at least you admit it. If they can have all the same rights as a marriage, then what is the big deal about calling it a marriage? At least you are willing to admit that you have no rational reason for it though

For public areas, it should be majority rules for smoking laws at best. I agree that walking through a cloud of smoke when entering a building is a bit annoying, but as far as a privately-owned establishment, that should be up to the owner. If people don't like the smoke, the owner will change the rules. I decide that people may not smoke in my house. A restaurant owned by a private party is, in my opinion, more like a home than it is a property owned by the public. And similarly, if golf courses don't want to allow blacks or Jews or whatever, they should be free to have such rules. I'm not defending such a decision, but I am defending the right to make that decision. Part of living in a free country is allowing people to make choices, good or bad. If I want to make a rule that no one of Polish descent is allowed in my home, I can do that. Same should go for any privately-owned property, whether it's a golf course, a restaurant, a movie theater, or whatever. The right to choose trumps the correctness of the decision.

I agree. If someone wants to make their bar a smoking establishment and risk some people not going there because of that they should be allowed to do that. What bothers me is when you walk down the street in a city and they are crowded by people all on smoke breaks from their offices. If people want to smoke in their homes or in privately owned establishments that allow it then cool, but is should not be allowed in public.
Well, we will have to agree to disagree. I think trying to nuke the Muslims into extinction would bring about the downfall of our nation. Throughout history anyone that tries to eradicate any one race or group of people tends to end up getting the beat down and getting their asses kicked.
