Over the last 10 years the affiliate has gotten more and more and more at the expense of the program. At some point, inteligent people should say,"boy, I really get a lot from my sponsor. I should leave them a few scraps"

I agree. If you look at mainstream nowhere do affiliates get what they get in adult.
The other problem is anyone who has never run a cross sale on their site can't speak about the effects the cross sale has on business, sales or rebills. I was the biggest advocate against cross sales. The problem was I was talking out of my ass since I had never run them. Now having run them for a while now I'm learning more and more. And the fact we continue to have them on our sites is probably a good indicator of our feelings towards them.
Since we've had cross sells on our site (for almost a year now) we have not seen any drop in sales or rebills. We've run a number of tests and have not had any issues.
