Take it with a grain. That is the way ALL information should be taken, especially from the mainstream media.

The smart thing to do is to absorb as much information from as many sources as possible and then cross-reference that information to sift out the truth.

The mainstream press hardly talks about the science behind oil production at all. They talk about oil in economic terms but rarely in scientific terms. To learn the truth about oil, one must read the work of geologists and oil-industry scientists - neither economists nor the talking heads on CNN can provide as accurate a discourse on this subject.

Don't just read this one article, go to geological websites and read those too. When you have done all that, you will see that what this writer is saying is bang on.
