The USA deals with percieved problems as they present themselves and will dealt with them on our own terms, and as we choose to deal with them, in the order that we choose to deal with them. Every President since the Second World War has engaged our military and I am sure that every future President will do the same. So yes, it is a global chess game that is being played out and there is nothing that is historically unusual about this fact. The USA acts in what it perceives to be in its own best military interests as well as its economic interests. Isn't it wonderful for us Americans that we have the capability to do this. WMD's are just one reason among many as I and others have pointed out multiple times. The USA will not allow any country to become a threat, if it can be prevented, so in that sense, yes we will rule the planet with an iron fist. I suspect that we will not allow Pakistan, or India, as well as N Korea to develope ICBM's and N Korea apparently is in the process of making the effort. They will have to be delt with, if not diplomatically then militarily.

Oh.... You mean like Hitler? Cool. But if he is our historical role model, we might not end up in such a good place when all the smoke finally clears 20-30 years from now.
