Actually people that believe in alien beings without any proof are not so different from religious zealots believing in the great JuJu in the sky..
I certainly would be the first to say that it is not only possible, but probable, that many other life forms exist in the universe. In that respect I guess I am a cosmic agnostic.
I'm just not quite ready to don a tinfoil hat yet and believe simply because people make claims with no independent verifiable proof.
For example, if you read the article, the astronaut cited in the first post of the thread is basing his claim upon hearsay.
BTW, I wll be going to see the new X-Files movie this weekend (but that's mostly because I have the hots for Gillian Anderson)...
