One more for the old foggies like me that can't stand the heat for too long out by the pool:
Plant you butt in a chair in the lobby in the traffic path to the pool during the late afternoons. Over the course of an hour, you get to meet and greet a lot of the people you know and can set up meetings with them (indoors, of course!)......
