When it comes to HD, it's been my experience that there is NEVER enough HD space. I had a quad core with 3 terabytes. That wasn't enough. I now got an 8 core with 3.5 terabytes.. that's not enough.
My advice. Get a machine that can handle it and then get one of those terabyte farms with like 4 or 5 terabytes in them. Because that shit is going to fill up fast.
Oh and my other bit of advice. STICK WITH ONE EDITING SYSTEM.
I'm dealing with an editors work that got fired off a job, and they brought the project to me and I've been having loads of fun rendering, rerendering, encoding, fighting the print to tape.. I think I'd rather have a testicle removed with a shotgun than have to do this job again.

Big machine, lots of storage, one system, oh and when it comes to cameras... take my advice, try them all out... spend the money and rent them first.. THEN buy.
