First off she shouldn't be 'starting a war' over you hanging with your friends. Those bunnies might end up in a pot of boiling water if you don't watch out.
Second, if you're happy then who cares what other people say. Your friend might just be jealous of your close relationship (or upset that she won't let you hang out with him).
