almost every meat eating animal is on some level a "killing machine", humans kill alot more people and dogs than dogs do , so really you should be asking your dog why he lets you hang out with hundreds of killing machines
Labeling all pitbulls as killers is like labeling all white people as killers, only labeling white people as killers would at least be alot more correct.
dogs are as nasty as their owners, unless its a wild dog then you might have a point , but i dont see many wild pitbulls around my parts .
Basically you took a baby to an all night rave and he got hurt, no suprise, he is a cute dog and i know you meant well but you can prob find better areas to walk him and better friends for dogs.

Maybe take your dog on a leash a few times and chat up some of the other owners of nice dogs to get together for a doggie date
