I think it can be a good distro for a server but it has to be set up correctly. The noncustomized installations bloat the system way too much for a server. My machine is for personal use but it's not too bloated because it is older. It seems like with each upgrade, there is more bloat but at the same time, computers get more powerful. Mine is a p4 1.3ghz so it can't handle all the extras. It also can't handle windows
I run an FTP, ssh, and apache. I use it for development, web browsing, network monitoring... things like that.
