I believe they base that on the a-symptomatic people also that carry it and don't get break outs and have no clue.
Paris Hilton has it. lol (I guess that would be a given)
The stats for oral herpes are even higher. (If you ever had a cold sore, you got herpes). I might be stating the obvious but a lot of people don't know that, I didn't know until a few years ago that cold sores were herpes.
