That whole regions growth is unsustainable and will eventually tank. Within 50 years the great lakes basin(rust belt) will see it's population return and grow. People will realize that you need water to live and that there just isn't much of it in the desert. MY
but I've also heard some rather astute long term R.E. investors say pretty much the same thing.
