I'm in Florida too on the other side of you, got those big fuck spiders too but we also have a fuckload of big ass black scorpions. thes fuckers are like 6 inches long. I guess it depends on the weather but on a good week we'll find 2 of the fuckers inside the house. It's a pain in the ass at night when you get up to take a piss. So far been lucky and haven't stepped on one. Needless to say a vacuum works great. oh, btw before I get the bash posts about the slum I live in, it's a 4,000 sf house on the water we just renovated after the hurricanes in 04, not a shack.
