To tell you the truth, I think it kind of makes people look bad when they say things like that. I don't really put much thought into it and I don't really care, but my initial thought is "wow, you are whoring your self out for a measly iPod?"
Guys... we don't need reasons or stories, just say you have time available and you are ready to work. :-)
