Thats not quite right. We shoot 1080i HDV and its 1920x1080


"I" means interlaced, and "P" means progressive.

Our camera records at 1440x1080 however when you capture it interpolates to 1920x1080. If you are using a hard drive HDV camera and just pulling it off the hard drive onto your computer hard drive it will probably stay at 1440. If you capture it via firewire it should probably be 1920x1080.

It doesn't undermine the quality of your video any. Its just a confusing deal for most people.
