Sorry, you lost me on the De Palma comment. Since you seem to be confused why I mentioned it... Both movies have an enormous amount of fans with a similar demographic and mindset.

I agree that it's nice to have several favorites. But that wasn't the point. The point is, 90% of the time when you see people listing their favorite movies... they list movies that were made in the last 10 years or so. Obvoiusly these people have not seen many movies. And if they do list a movie made before 10 years ago it will be something like "Pulp Fiction," "Star Wars," "A Clockwork Orange," etc. It's really cool when you do meet someone that would list something more obscure as one of them. Those people are the most fun and interesting to have a movie discussion with.

So every movie quote discussion that gets created (and this is quite often), no one can comment on a movie without being called a "intellectual snob"? The OP did write a movie quote from ACO in the first post. He did not leave it open-ended. You can't blame me for that.
