China, India, Russia, Saudi Arabia still need the West, but until when? Koreans and Japanese are more advanced than Westerners in non-military technology, such as electronics, telecom and internet. China is the world's factory. Saudi Arabia and Russia combined produce 20 million barrels/day, 1/4 of the world's oil production.

We still have guns and farms, but with soaring food prices and a nuclear / space arms race, new challenges arise.

The end of US domination is not a myth, it was discussed in Foreign Affairs bi-monthly journal, America's most influential foreign policy magazine.

The US economy may still be 25% of the world's GDP, but it's a house of cards made of USD bills. Home equity is lowest since 1945 and Citigroup is cheaper than Apple Inc.
