last month we decided to finally do the mentos/diet coke thing. My 6yo thought it was the coolest thing ever.
little trick if you don't have a tube handy is to poke holes in the mentos and put them kabob style onto two toothpicks (10 mentos total). We then cut the top off another bottle and duct taped it upside down to the diet coke filled bottle kinda like a funnel. Made dropped multiple mentos in the bottle a snap and the effect is much taller than just one mento.
