News here isn't really any more balanced. We get Canadian news with the addition of US news. There isn't more coverage of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe or South American than in the US.
You might be right about Canada. I've never been there. I would have to say that Australia is the most culturally diverse nation on earth, so I have a biased view on this to an extent... but I also live in the US for a lot of time during the year, and I'd have to say that if there is any diversity in cultures, it doesn't stick out in American culture as a whole. It does in Australia.
