Near the end of his talk Matt Cutt's speaks of a great security option for WordPress.
Basically, its as simple as adding a .htacess to the wp-admin folder and denying all and allowing your IP. So the only person with access to the folder is someone from your own home/business.
People who just brush off Matt Cutt's and other speakers for assumptions are closing themselves off to further development of their skills.
It costs nothing to let someone speak, it can't all be bad, and in the end you can decide what was worth listening to and what was hype.
