buy a gun @ any STORE in any state & you have to go thru a waiting period, its federal. (7days) California has to one up all teh gun laws & makes it 10 days. the gun will be in your name! you have to pass the writen handgun test(if you fail you shouldnt beallowed out of the house! its so easy) Proof of residencey, & fit to own, (not crazy not a fellon) Buying a gun from a non dealer or @ a gun show, ad in teh paper. is hit or miss, if teh gun was already registered in previous owners name Hes not going to want it in his name , in your hands. so youll ahve to transfer, cost around $30. Goto a show buy a new gun @ a show from a dealer who doesnt give a fuck(& most dont) it pretty much a cash & carry. no paper work trail. if you ahve a gun registered in your name in CA its on your record!, who knows what kind of laws might come in teh future! you get pulled over & the cop knows your a handgun owner. keep that shit in mind.
