We do a ton of encoding here and there is a lot more involved then just staring at a screen and setting up profiles. Setting up jobs, watchs, error checking/quality control, clipping, editing, all kinds of shit, uploading, filling drives, moving files across network so encoding machines dont fill up. i could go on for days....
iv encoded well over 4000 dvds in the last two years, to 8+ formats, plus the few hundred exclusive scenes we own in addition to that.

well, editing is not encoding - thats what i meant. and i encoded thousands of our clips. and for me everything is set up in a way that my guys do the work with editing and putting the clips where they belong and i just start and watch the encoding via remote desktop. and if i need a special format i drag and drop my 2000 source files in cleaner, test the new profile once and then start the job. 2 weeks later its done without anyone touching the computer. thats not a fulltime job
