I have not found one thing that I could not do remotely. You basically run your home/office PC from the browser of your remote PC. You control that computer so you can use every function it has.

I love logmein. And the free version works just fine. No need to pay at all. It doesn't allow file transfers, but since we're in the biz I just upload files to my server or if you don't have a server then just use the Gspace Firefox extension.
