I think the evidence at this point shows being truly gay is a predisposition. And anyone with a lot of experience in the gay community knows this as fact.
Of course, parents and environment and other occurrences can affect how someone turns out. Any of these factors could lead a kid to be a raging psychopath or a fearful pussy or a cop or a smut peddler.
If a girl gets beat by enough boyfriends, she might decide she prefers a girlfriend whether she prefers licking pussy or not. If a boy gets molested by his mother and sister, he might have a bad reaction to vagina and therefore decide to date guys as an adult.
But I think statistically people are gay because they were born that way and couldn't be raised "straight" no matter how many churches they were sent to. They might be guilted into living a lie, but they're no doubt buying up your gay porn memberships late at night when the wifey is asleep.
