I would like to get the guys side of the story first. I used to have a bitch like that who told everyone I hit her and shit so they would feel sorry for her. I didn't find out until after we broke up. Come to find out she was cheating on me with her best friend who was a guy. So if this chick is anything like my ex... fuck her. If her dude is beating her, make sure she didn't hit him first AND make sure she wasn't pushing buttons. I've never hit a girl but I've had plenty pushing my buttons trying to get me to react like that....fucking bitches!
