I'm glad you said this. Sometimes leaving isn't even enough and sometimes it really isn't possible to get away from the guy. Not everyone has the money or means to leave to Timbuktu or something to get away from a psycho loser partner. You happened to get a guy who smashed your car windows, but he easily could have hurt you physically or even killed you AFTER you had left him. So fuck anyone who thinks that women are to blame for not leaving. Often leaving only makes them get it worse and it is ultimately NOT a good or final answer. Abusers belong in jail.
